    Kaman Distribution is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, eCommerce to join our team in our Bloomfield, CT headquarters. 


    Summary: Supports the development and execution of Kaman Distribution Group’s (KDG) eCommerce strategy and coordinates the required effort across all functional areas in support of that strategy.  Manages and executes the KDG eCommerce roadmaps for Kamandirect.com, Kamanfluidpower.com, Kamanautomation.com, and private label sites Reliamark.com and Transpower.com.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage and execute KDG eCommerce roadmaps, providing Product Management and Project Management support as needed and collaborating across all relevant functional areas of the business
    • Facilitate the activities of the web development and technical teams in order to maintain and improve the website’s functionality, design, content, user experience and performance
    • Support the company’s strategic plan and help achieve the financial and operational objectives for the eCommerce team
    • Collaborate with Category Management and Marketing on sales campaigns, promotional offers, paid search, SEO and PPC campaigns
    • Leverage SEO staff and agencies to develop keyword strategy techniques and provide the copy, rich content and assets in order to increase page ranking and traffic
    • Develop, monitor, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize customer satisfaction while achieving or exceeding targets (leveraging tools such as Google Analytics, SEMRush, and Google Marketing Platform). Scope of analytics include site performance, customer behavior and campaign management
    • Coordinate and execute ongoing A/B and Multivariate Testing to optimize performance and develop appropriate personalization approaches.  Monitor competitor sites and regularly conduct comparisons and gap analysis
    • Support the broader corporate digital transformation by collaborating across functional areas (e.g. supply chain, category management, data management) on reengineering business processes to provide the optimal customer experience and effectively compete in digital commerce
    • Develop, execute, and maintain Customer Journey Maps and the related Touchpoint strategies based on customer target profiles
    • Develop investment proposals and budgets to support digital marketing enhancements and roadmap efforts
    • Be an evangelist for eCommerce and Digital Transformation, interacting with vendors (e.g. Oracle), internal technical resources, functional departments and Kaman’s customers, as required
    • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital commerce
    • Develop and execute reports and analysis for departments and customers, as needed
    • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers
    • Perform other duties as assigned



    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing or related major or equivalent work experience


    • PPC, SEO and management of affiliate programs
    • Email and promotional marketing campaigns

    Knowledge Essential to the Position:

    • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategies and best practices
    • In-depth understanding of web design and web analytic software

    • ATG, EasyAsk, ClearCommerce, WebMethods, DEC/EDI
    • Knowledge of the various document standards, formats and methods of communication EDI, XML, HTML
    • Desktop software: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, Microsoft Project


    • Some travel may be required.
