      The Transportation Coordinator works performs a variety of Transportation functions. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review and properly input data into Kaman’s ERP system for the shipment of material to Kaman’s customers both domestic and International.
    • Review and properly input data into Kaman’s ERP system for the receipt of product from Kaman’s Suppliers, Customers and Government agencies.
    • Capable of interfacing with Kaman’s customers IT systems to accurately input customer required data for the shipment of customers end product.
    • Use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Maintain all files, logs, spread sheets as required.
    • Resolve discrepancies regarding customer data
    • Provide status of customer material received/shipped as required.
    • Coordinate movement with carriers.
    • Preparation of appropriate Import/Export requirements
    • Required to properly document the movement of Hazardous material by law according to the Department of Transportation and International Air Transport Association.
    • Prepare documentation for the shipment of material such as Bills of Lading, Customs Commercial Invoices, Packing Slips, Canadian MA’s, Shippers Letter of Instructions etc.

    Qualifications

    Education:  Equivalent to high school plus additional broad specialized training within Shipping/Recieving equal to 2 years of college

     

    Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience, in shipping and receiving
