    We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Machinist to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. Reporting to the Sr. Team Leader, the Machinist A performs all machining operations as part of the production process in an assigned cell.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • As a Machinist A you will be responsible for setting up and performing machining operations on several complex machines. 
    • Make adjustments to meet customer requirements. Work to close tolerances. Develop and document procedures.
    • Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follow work procedures.
    • Act as a troubleshooter for machining problems. Resolve problems or refer problems to appropriate individual.
    • Train operators in machining processes.
    • May occasionally perform responsibilities of an assembler.
    • Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
    • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
    • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • High school diploma/GED

    Experience: 

    • 5+ years of manufacturing experience

    Physical Demands:   

    • Continual standing
    • Frequent mental and visual attention
    • Frequent bending, twisting
    • Frequent grasping items and tools
    • Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.

     Other:

    • Will be required to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs.
