      We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to completes various general accounting functions as required by the company, which may include EAC contract accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) reviews and testing, inventory and bid proposal accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and/or General Ledger requirements.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    General Accounting Responsibilities

    • Performs the monthly close process including review of the general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, sales and invoicing process, accounts payable process, and capital asset management.
    • Assists in the preparation of the monthly financial statements for review by senior leaders at the Site, KCUS and Corporate level.
    • Assists with the preparation and submission of the annual Profit Plan and quarterly financial forecast packages.
    • Provides program profitability data with in depth analysis of variances to expected results.
    • Works in conjunction with other departments in regard to bid packages, work order management, collections, and program management.
    • Assists with the management of the accounts receivable process, including the establishment of credit limits and collections, along with administering daily cash management.
    • Assists with maintaining effective internal controls for accounting and inventory transactions.
    • Participates at various high level meetings, including Operational Reviews, Bid Reviews and Program Manager Reviews. 

     

    EAC Contract Accounting and SOX Responsibilities

    • Completes EAC on a quarterly basis.
    • Performs SOX testing on a monthly basis.
    • Assist in the annual budget and forecast pertaining to long-term contracts (EAC).
    • Cleans up BOM files for material costs.
    • Assists in preparing bid proposals going to corporate.
    • Assists in the month-end closing pertaining to actual cost and contract accounting.

     

    Accounts Receivable (A/R) Responsibilities

    • Cross-trained to perform all A/R responsibilities.
    • Acts as the back-up and supplement for A/R.

     

    Accounts Payable (A/P) Responsibilities

    • Cross-trained to perform all A/P responsibilities.
    • Acts as the back-up and supplement for A/P.

    Qualifications

    Education:  Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.  Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.

     

    Experience: 

    • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience.  Experience in Cost Accounting is preferred. 
    • Strong command of computer skills is required:
      • All Microsoft Office software used by the company.
      • MRP systems – Oracle, Hyperion or similar system.
      • All related company systems – will be trained in these systems.
