  • Overview




    The Product Solutions Specialist has responsibility for managing the sales and marketing effort for a product or group of products. This includes direct technical sales effort for those products, coordination between account sales, inside sales, Engineered Solutions Team (ESG) and manufacturer representatives. In addition, it requires continuous effort to align the product or product group with the strategies of Kaman to achieve the overall goals set.  Automation focus will be on supplying customers with innovative productivity solutions.   This will be achieved through the use of software and hardware to control, monitor, alarm, archive and report on overall performance. Primary products included in this will be Power & Lighting Products but not limited to and at times include SCADA, telemetry, automation and motion controllers, HMI, RFID, barcode and other peripheral products.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Seek new business developments opportunities within target accounts and new business in order to grow market share.
    • Establish target markets, identify potential accounts within that market, and determine appropriate business contacts.
    • Schedule marketing activities to promote manufactures products, solutions and processes.
    • Develop and maintain effective business relationships in order to understand customer needs and provide intelligent solutions.
    • Provides specific product training for customers through on-site meetings, group meetings, or training by phone or the web.
    • Act as a trusted business partner to provide exceptional support to internal and external customers.
    • Effectively communicate product or product group concepts to Engineering solutions group, and sales personnel to drive sales.
    • Continuously evaluates and benchmarks new products and ideas for future sales growth potential.
    • Consult manufactures to strategically develop and implement a solid sale strategy.
    • Examine product inventory levels to understand product demand and sales potential within the marketplace.
    • Implement target opportunities for Engineering Services.


    Education:4 year degree in Business or an Engineering or Technical field with relevant Business acumen or coursework.



    • Good working knowledge of Motion control, Vision, and Automation Technology and its application.
    • Motion Control industry and the Market.
    • Knowledge of applicable Software and Programming Technology.

    Physical Requirement:

    • Must possess valid Drivers License
    • Capable of lifting up to 25lbs
