      The Staff Accountant works under the direction of the Manager, Finance and is responsible for performing monthly and on-going financial analysis of the performance of Kaman Aerospace Group and its divisions.  Ensures timelines are maintained and performs reviews of general financial data for quality and accuracy.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Consolidate and maintain division submittals of actual, profit plan, and forecast financial information. Review submittals for accuracy and quality.
    • Perform a variety of tasks in the support of the Manager, Finance and Senior Financial Analyst in their role of financial analysis of Aerospace for KAG and Corporate management.
    • Perform a monthly financial review of the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement analyzing variances to profit plan, forecast and prior year for each KAG division.
    • Communicate effectively with KAG Finance and division finance departments, as needed.
    • Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial analyses and management reports.
    • Assist with various financial and technical projects at the KAG level and the business level.
    • Perform competitor and market analysis.
    • Maintain log of bid and proposal activity.
    • Review and log results of Internal Audit reports and management testing, including following up on open issues.


    Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or MBA in Business Administration. CPA designation is desirable.


    Experience:  0-2 years in a related finance field
