      The Deputy Program Manager works under the general direction of Program Manager.  This position is responsible for stand-in for the primary Program Manager as assigned, supporting the cost, schedule and overall performance of production programs. Work with employees assigned to the program from all departmental functional areas, ensure program contract line items are achieved, and ensure program specifications, expectations and objectives are achieved. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Generate, maintain, and monitor integrated Master Schedule and Plan (IMS/IMP) to baseline
    • Identify program problems, Issues and items through discussions, meetings and other correspondence; recognizing solutions through collaboration such as
      allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
    • Oversee successful implementation / completion of projects within the Program
    • Brief too management/customers on the status and items affecting the program; recommend and take appropriate corrective action.
      Schedule program meetings as appropriate. Create an agenda, gather participation, receive commitments, and document and distribute minutes and action
      items
    • Participate in the operation of proposals, proposal work statements and specifications
    • Assist in the development of operating budgets, Program financial, estimates at completion (EAC), Estimates to complete (ETC) and KISO
    • Assist in proposing and negotiating the programmatic terms and condition of contracts
    • Monitor qualification, engineering tests, and production run-offs (first Offs, PRR's)
    • Assist in the management of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual activities
    • Assist with internal and external program management reviews and /or technical interchange meetings
    • Lead the direct commercial sales /DCS) activities as it relates to the programs assigned
    • Assist in the management of integrated product team llPT) meetings and its documentation and data
    • Assist in the management of Lot acceptance testing (LAT), its documentation both internal and external
    • Assist in the management of sales orders, briefs and corresponding shipping/ logistics documentation
    • Work with materials and procurement to ensure a good, clean flow of product and component supply to each program without delay to operations
    • Assist In the management of program specific items such as; internal work authorizations, invoicing or DD-250 tracking, Risk management, LAT schedules, PCO
      trackina, GFM assistance, and other activities as directed

    Qualifications

    Education:  Knowledge of a general technical fiel, business administration, or related work experience to manage program activities.  Working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio.  Must possess fluent oral and written communication skills and be able to work with many departmental personnel at same time

     

    Experience:  3 to 5 years of practical program experience, including EACs, IMS/IMP, metrics leading meetings, understanding and executing project assignments, working in a team and achieving results.
