      The Lean Coordinator will have daily responsibilities related to the planning and execution of continuous improvement activities throughout the company. Will help identify opportunities for improvement and will implement appropriate actions in response using LEAN principles such as value stream mapping, Kaizen events, 5s, 3p, total preventative maintenance and other lean techniques. Will coach and train others on specified continuous improvement topics.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conduct time studies as required
    • Will be part of the Continuous Improvement Team that works with all areas of the company to identify and implement process improvements using LEAN best practices
    • Will assist in the coordination and facilitation of LEAN Kaizen events and other activities
    • Will work to develop and deliver training to employees on continuous improvement topics
    • Will act as a “change agent” and provide ongoing mentoring and coaching of others to support the use of continuous improvement methodology
    • Creates cell layout designs as required
    • Maintain log of improvements and lesson’s learned to report out savings both tangible and intangible

    Qualifications

    Education:  High school diploma or GED

     

    Experience: 3-5 years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment where part of the daily responsibilities included leading, applying, coaching and training others on LEAN/ continuous improvement methodologies.
