       The Export Compliance Admin works under the general direction of the Senior Manager, Contracts and is responsible for assuring the company meets or exceeds all export compliance requirements as stated under Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Draft, submit, and status export licenses for hardware, technical data, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), , Manufacturing License Agreements (MLA), Commodity Jurisdiction and Commodity Classification requests. Serve as company Empowered Official.
    • Maintain export records and tracking databases. Prepare and submit reports or filings as necessary.
    • Provide guidance concerning the requirements and obligations of exporting under ITAR, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Regulations and other U.S. and non-U.S. export laws/requirements.
    • Works with appropriate personnel to determine ITAR and EAR jurisdiction and export classification (USML category or ECCN) for both hardware and technology. Classify products according to HTS/Schedule B.  Maintain master listing of product classifications.
    • Screen new customers, visitors, suppliers, etc. to ensure no business is conducted with denied persons, et al.
    • Oversight for export compliance. Review business practices and draft/improve export compliance policies, procedures, manual and forms necessary to ensure compliance.  Develop instructional guidelines for impacted personnel.  Work with business units and functions to ensure requirements are incorporated into local work instructions.
    • Conduct export compliance training to impacted personnel and answer day-to-day export compliance questions. Monitor updates to export regulations. Act as liaison to U.S. Government agencies as relating to export compliance matters.
    • Participate in and/or conduct internal audits of export documents, processes and procedures. Investigate suspected export violations as required.
    • Represent the division in all Corporate Level Export Council events and initiatives
    • Support other export compliance initiatives, as required.
    • Responsible for the order administration of Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) efforts including the processing of Letters of Credit, coordination of shipments with freight forwarders, collection of invoices, and order close out activities with customers


    Education:  Broad knowledge of a professional or technical field such as contracts, proposals, finance or business administration.   Working knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Regulations and other U.S. and non-U.S. export laws/requirements.  Bachelor degree required.   Proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Ability to use Government export templates and forms.


    Experience:  3 to 5 years direct Export experience plus 5 years in other related functions such as Contracts, Procurement, Business Development or related technical field.
