    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Works under the direction of the Supervisor Inventory Control or designee. 

    • Must be cleared as Employee Possessor by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as required by the Safe Explosives Act.
    • Must be certified to operate fork truck and able to operate all material movement equipment (pallet jack, high reach, etc.).
    • Must be able to obtain a Blaster’s License.

    Monitor (including transactions, physical location and cycle counts) production floor inventory assets on one or more programs as assigned. Maintains constant liaison with all production areas, planning, receiving inspection and procurement. Obtains program information from Status Reports, production, purchasing, etc. Coordinates the virtual (electronic) and physical movement of materials. Provides direction to production and quality personnel regarding material processing. Report shortages to proper personnel as directed. Diagnose troubled areas, communicate problems to supervisor(s), suggest solutions/improvements and take corrective action. Effectively follows verbal and written direction from Supervisor and/or Cell or Program Manager Representative duties include but are not limited to:

    • Physically verify and record all incoming and outbound shipments
    • Complete, maintain and distribute accurate documentation of all material movement (incoming and outgoing)
    • Maintain records of electronic parts inventories and all electronic movement within electronics storage and assembly areas.
    • Stock and restock electronic parts (both components and subassemblies)
    • Pull electronic components for kits and issue kits to assembly
    • Properly identify all materials, inclusive of electronic components
    • Move material between awaiting inspection and bond areas of warehouse
    • Check documents and/or transactions regarding production floor inventory movement.
    • Obtain shortage and production floor control reports and information on a daily basis.
    • Make sure tools, materials, work orders and parts are available to meet schedule requirements.
    • Effectively communicate (both verbally & in writing) as required.
    • Understand and apply company and department processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Has a working familiarity and understanding of work center processes and equipment.
    • Maintain open communications with designated Production Supervisor and Material Control on status of inventory availability.
    • Verify accurate documentation of all material movement within the production floor.
    • Perform transactions and cycle counts.



    Requires ability to use basic math, schedules, use of adjustable measuring instruments; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data. Must have valid FL Driver’s License. Must have intermediate computer skills. High School diploma or GED. Must be able to study for and pass FL State Blaster License. Requires three years of material handling experience and knowledge of inventory control systems.
