    Our Anaheim, CA branch is looking for a Team Lead in our control panel shop that has mastered their skills in electronic controls assembly, combined with leadership and mentoring abilities.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Comprehends complex electrical wiring drawings and works independently.
    • Understands the manufacturing arena , budgeted hours and urgency for beating the actual budgeted hours are essential. Meeting on time deliveries on every project.
    • Continuously looking for ways to improve the techniques of building cables/panels and improving their own methods and goals.
    • Works with the shop supervisor on new procedures and processes. Required to Train others in each work cell area.
    • Must have a thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics and willing to work with engineers to complete projects to all specifications.
    • Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, etc.) as well as Kaman Automation policies and procedures.
    • Fully Understands what a PLC, VFD, Circuit breakers etc. are and what their roles are in the control system Comprehends and knows the differences between NEMA ratings of enclosures
    • Proficient at recognizing and installing all types of wire labels and device tags
    • Comprehends all Electrical and Mechanical drawings in all work cell areas
    • Fabricates entire back plates, enclosures and wiring of control back panel and enclosure doors
    • Identifies any wiring or drawing errors and report back to team leader-engineer for corrections or additions
    • Recognizes the difference between stainless steel and painted steel as it pertains to the FAB area and the tools needed to work on these products.
    • Recognizes any potential issue at the start of any project to prevent cost overruns and delays
    • Mentors, trains and leads other team members

    Qualifications

    Experience

    • At least 5 years of experience  in electro-mechanical components.
    • Demonstrated proficient project skills and experience in the field of Master Panel builder.

     

    Skills

    • Ability to train others in all other work areas
    • Cross trained and competent in working in each work area ( Cables, Panel, Wire prep, Mechanical)

    Education

    • High School or GED
