  • Overview



    The Pricing Specialist provides analytics and insights to cross-functional business partners, most notably the KIT Sales force, the National Sales force, and Pricing Coordinator Analyst (PCA) on strategies related to pricing and promotions. Daily activities include but are not limited to price management, file scrubs, rebate management, and implementation of programs. Supplies price management information and analysis in various formats and acts in a manner that fulfills strategic pricing expectations, utilizing industry knowledge and expertise to achieve results.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide support and recommendations to business partners in managing price files and promotions while still achieving business targets.
    • Analyze historic promotions and utilize findings to plan future promotions and pricing needs.
    • Monitor district, branch and customer specific Supplier Price Agreements (SPAs) to ensure all correct pricing needs are met and in the systems.
    • Apply technical product knowledge to manage new and existing customer files (usually in Excel format) using Pattern Matcher for accurate integration of data and identification of possible growth opportunities.
    • Audit customer product pricing files and service desk data entry.
    • Cross-train in and co-own PCA activities for National Accounts, including but not limited to contract updates and implementations.
    • Cross-train in and co-own Rebate Specialist activities.
    • Provide back up to all PCA activities as necessary, especially for Kaman Automation and Great Plains support.




    • Power transmission product knowledge,
    • Problem solving/analytical skills,
    • Communication (written and verbal),
    • Experience with pricing variables,
    • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MICA, SX.e, Great Plains, Cognos        



    • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Distribution or similar relevant field


    • Sales/Operations/Product or related field.
    • Pricing platform control operations, inventory, and product knowledge/experience preferred.
