The Product and Process Reliability Engineer works under the direction of the Manager, Metrology and Supplier Quality Engineering or delegate with primary responsibility for reliability and maintainability (R&M) projects of broad scope and complexity.
Analyze process variation through observation, NCs, turn backs or CA’s, develop and implement, in collaboration with functional leadership, risk reduction methods and the associated training. Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Compile and analyze performance reports and process control statistics; investigate and analyze relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. Develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. Develop metrics to monitor the reliability of manufacturing processes.

Education: Broad knowledge of a technically specialized field such as Reliability and Maintainability, Human Factors and Safety of Systems. Good working knowledge of personal computers and competency in the use of associated software such as statistical computer and MS Office application software, mathematical formula development and database management. Requires a BSEE or BSME.
Experience: Over seven years up to and including 10 years
