Kaman Air Vehicles & MRO has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineer to join our outstanding Engineering team.
This role would be to support development efforts of a new Composite blade for the KMAX Helicopter as well as further support program initiatives to develop the unmanned KMAX Helicopter. The ideal candidate will be motivated to dig into challenges, possess a spectrum of aeronautical engineering skills, including finite element analysis (Nastran/Patran), CAD design (NX), design/analysis of rotorcraft composite structures (i.e. rotor blade design), design/analysis of mechanical systems and have the ability to coordinate activities with all facets of the organization.
The Engineering department at Kaman AVMRO includes individuals with diverse skill sets who are exposed not only to the design and analysis of systems, but also participate in the manufacturing, test, development, and certification processes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with at least 1 to 2 years graduate level work leading to a Master’s degree or equivalent learning experience.
Experience: 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in engineering. Broad knowledge of an advanced and technically specialized field with strong capabilities in aircraft mechanical systems.
