    Works under the general direction of the Controller for Kaman Aerosystems in a shared service center and is responsible for processing supplier invoices, employee expense reports and administering weekly timekeeping.  

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Sort incoming mail and create electronic image of supplier invoices for processing.
    • Process supplier invoices for payment.
    • Perform other accounts payable functions such as clearing and voiding checks, reviewing supplier statements, resolving aged received items not invoiced, responding to payment status inquiries, and reviewing purchases for taxability.
    • Process employee expense reports and interface with employees as necessary to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
    • Download data from credit card institution in support of monthly accounting accrual.
    • Administer time and attendance records for payroll processing and adhere to schedule.
    • Assists with the collection of employee hours and submitting of reports to payroll
    • Maintain files, data, registers, etc. to support audit and compliance requirements. Interface with auditors, exercising judgment and discretion in response to audit and regulatory inquiries. Support internal control environment, including Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing.



    • A minimum of 2 years of related business experience. Previous experience in Epicor systems preferred.
    • Knowledge of Connecticut Sales and Use tax law.
    • Associate’s degree in an Accounting or Business Administration discipline.


    • Must possess good detail orientation and organizational skills; a focus on accuracy with respect to employee time and attendance records is critical.
    • Possess ability to work under high levels of demand while maintaining customer service orientation.
    • Proficient level of written/verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and develop business relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
    • Good analytical, continuous improvement and process orientation skills.
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and their application in a financial setting.
    • Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in order to access export controlled technology.
