Overview

The role of the HR Generalist will focus on new employee onboarding and orientation, talent acquisition for technical positions in aircraft assembly and machining, payroll processing, and the implementation of initiatives to enhance employee morale and foster a positive company culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate comprehensive onboarding programs that effectively integrate new hires into the company
  • Conduct orientation session to familiarize employees with company policies, procedures, and culture
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure new employees receive the necessary training and resources
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions for technical roles in aircraft assembly and machining
  • Utilize various sourcing strategies, including job boards, social media, and industry networks to attract qualified candidates
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and facilitate the selection process, ensuring a strong candidate experience
  • Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations
  • Collaborate with finance to resolve any payroll discrepancies and ensure timely disbursement
  • Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for payroll-related processes
  • Design and implement initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and morale
  • Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms to promote a positive work environment
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess and enhance the company culture, ensuring alignment with organizational values
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support the needs of the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, office management, and/or customer service setting, preferably in manufacturing or technical environment
  • Strong understanding of talent acquisition strategies and onboarding best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and recruitment software preferred
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations relevant to the manufacturing sector
  • Ability to analyze employee feedback and drive culture change initiatives
